In 1984 by George Orwell...plz I have 3 short questions!?

The above person answered 1 and 3 well enough, however for 2, the signifigance of his name is that the Party called this leader "Big Brother", as you know, a big brother, something that seems nice and caring, "watching our for you." However, the actuality of "Big Brother" is that he is watching your every move for somethign wrong, some move against the Party. Thus, they've changed something good ( an odler brother) into a terrifying menace.
