Pearl Paradox...? Scarlet letter...?

Pearl is just as precious as any other child. Just because religious zealots say a sin begot the child doesn't make the child a product of sin. A child is something to be proud of and Hester is justly proud of her child Pearl. The judgment of religious zealots does not make a parent less-proud of their child... in the end Hester is as proud to wear the scarlet A as any other parent would be proud of their child.
