Is the Siberian Tiger the largest Cat that has ever lived? or were there Prehistoric Cats that were larger?

Most if not all prehistoric cats were larger in size then today's cats they had to be to take down the larger prey items. And as for today the siberian tiger is not the largest the Liger is much larger in size. and yes it is real they breed one and is currently held in a zoo at Myrtie beach south carolina.
