Why does my Mac freeze when playing World of Warcraft?

My Mac desktop keeps freezing when I enter a dungeon or put on to much armor at once. It usually freezes when i teleport to Orgrimmar from Dalaran. I also lag very bad in dalaran. Why is this and how can I fix it?
